The Tre Fontane is brewed in the Tre Fontane Trappist Abbey to the south of the city of Rome. In that Italian abbey, monks are making olive oil, chocolate, liqueur and are now working hard on developing a new beer. But not any beer.

This Trappist, the first Italian beer to receive this honour, has a deep golden colour with a pronounced fruity taste. During the brewing process, eucalyptus leaves are added to the mix, making the Tre Fontane one of the few Trappist beers containing rather unusual ingredients.

The Tre Fontane is a high fermentation beer with an 8.5 alcohol percentage.
